When community leaders learned that the concert was in danger of being cancelled, they acted immediately. Former Mayor Diana Nelson, Allan Reeves and other community leaders recognized how important this event has become to Mason and worked to make sure it could continue.

For many people in Mason, regardless of religious or ethnic background, the annual Christmas in Mason Festival Concert has become part of what makes this community feel special and welcoming. It is an opportunity to come together, enjoy music, and share in the spirit of fellowship that makes the Christmas season meaningful to so many.

This year, that spirit will extend even further! For the first time, our outreach will expand to include our neighbors in Deerfield Township, making this a celebration for the broader Mason-Deerfield community.

As part of a new vision for the orchestra, Dr. Lucy Ginther has been asked to take up the baton and help make sure this community tradition continues.

We are grateful to Diana Nelson, other community leaders who stepped forward when it mattered, and everyone working to make this concert possible!

Christmas is for everyone, and we look forward to celebrating together through music.
